By applying for and maintaining indexing within the Directory of Islamic Journals (DIsJ), we, the Editorial Board and Publisher of [Insert Journal Name], formally and solemnly pledge to uphold the following principles of academic integrity and justice:

1. Commitment to Academic Justice (’Adl): We pledge never to oppress authors (Zalim) through undue administrative delays. We commit to providing a first decision within 30 days and completing the final review process within a maximum of 180 days. Should we fail to meet this timeline, we recognize the author’s absolute right to withdraw their manuscript without penalty.

2. Upholding Intellectual Honesty (Amanah): We certify that every member of our Editorial Board has formally consented to their role and is actively involved in the journal’s oversight. We maintain zero tolerance for “Name-Dropping” or Ghost Editors. We understand that any fraudulent use of scholars’ identities will result in a permanent and non-negotiable blacklist from DIsJ.

3. Prohibition of Exploitative Practices (Anti-Fast Track): We pledge to maintain a level playing field for all researchers regardless of their financial status. We strictly prohibit any paid “Fast-Track” services and certify that our publication speed is determined solely by scholarly merit and editorial efficiency.

4. Transparency and Meritocracy: We commit to full transparency regarding author fees, plagiarism thresholds (max 20%), and endogeneity controls (max 10% internal authorship). We will display accurate metadata for every article, including submission and acceptance dates, to ensure public accountability.

5. Data Sovereignty and Preservation: We pledge to protect the digital heritage of the OIC scholarly community by maintaining active digital archiving and ensuring that research data shared through the DIsJ platform is cited and credited to its rightful owners.

Declaration of Compliance

We understand that DIsJ will perform periodic audits and mandatory cross-checks to verify our compliance. We acknowledge that any severe ethical breach or fraudulent activity will lead to an immediate, irrevocable, and permanent removal from the DIsJ index, with no possibility of appeal or negotiation.
